Professional zoom lens The XF8-16mmF2.8 lens delivers excellent sharpness from corner to corner and at all focal lengths and apertures. Special aspherical and extra low dispersion elements are used in its construction to remove distortion and fringing, for clean, richly detailed images.
Wide-angle 12-24mm equivalent focal length As the widest-angle lens in the X Series range, the XF8-16mmF2.8 offers amazing opportunities for wide-angle photography. Perfect for expansive landscapes or cramped interiors. The lens’s closest focus distance is 0.25m, and foreground details are emphasised by its extreme perspective.
Constant F2.8 aperture The lens has a maximum aperture of F2.8 throughout its zoom, which is vital in several respects. Not only does the very wide aperture make images easier to keep sharp when hand-holding the lens, it also gathers much more light than smaller apertures, allowing you to add star-filled skies to your landscape compositions.
